+ OUR IMPACT
Athlete Guidance & Support (AGS)
Our goal is to guide UC Davis athletes towards healthy strategies to deal with stress, anxiety or other negative feelings that are caused by the pressures of being student-athletes. We strive to be a resource that our fellow student-athletes can come to whenever someone needs guidance or support with juggling issues pertaining to mental wellness.
This program will create an environment where UC Davis athletic teams are healthy, educated, and informed about the services provided to them. We aim to create a movement of athletes passionate and aware about mental wellness and how it shapes team dynamics and success.
Athletes in Business (AIB)
Athletes in Business focuses on creating a space for student-athletes who want to be proficient in the fields of Consulting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship in order to prepare themselves for real-world professional interactions.
Athletes in Medicine (AIM)
The goal of this organization is to provide student-athletes, who possess a mutual interest of this professional field, with an environment to explore future schooling and career opportunities. Members of this group double as mentors who encourage and motivate one another while pursuing a career in medicine.
Coalition of African Diaspora Student-Athletes (CADSA)
We are UC Davis’s only African Diaspora Student Athlete organization, with a mission to unite African Diaspora Student Athletes within an institution and political structure that constantly marginalized the African Diaspora community.
Since the African Diaspora student-athlete experience is unique, and provides its own set of challenges, the Coalition of African Diaspora Student-Athletes, wants to create a safe space to ensure that student-athletes are welcomed, supported, and heard. By doing so, our goal is to enhance the student-athlete experience through community, advocacy, and inclusivity of race, sexuality, gender, ability, and class.
Davis Athlete Ally (DAA)
We are a group of students in the UC Davis athletic community passionate about fostering LGBTQIA+ inclusion and eliminating heterosexism and cissexism in sports. We believe that when athletes, fans, coaches, and others in the athletic community can be their whole selves, they can experience the full impact and beauty of sport. Join us in creating change and celebrating our differences.

UC Davis’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s mission is comprised of three primary elements that aligns and supports Intercollegiate Athletics’ vision for a world-class Student-Athlete Outcomes program:
Student-Athlete Mentors (SAM)
Student-Athlete Mentors will use their unique experience, as a one-on-one resource, to help new student-athletes enjoy a comprehensive undergraduate experience.
